A trained psychotherapist, Odets weaves together his personal narrative and collected stories from clients, friends, and lovers as he historically recounts many of the challenges of the gay movement. Out of the Shadows is part memoir, part call to healing for all of us gay and queer men. Please acquire a copy of Odets's book, either in paper or downloadable form.

Come join a multi-generational group of men exploring the intersection of sex and spirit in queer life. Reading will be assigned each week for the following meeting. This Book Club cycle will be featuring Walt Odets's Out of the Shadows: Reimagining Gay Men's Lives.
